Laser etching process is a common silicone keypads technology,the purpose is to make the characters with backlighting effect. So laser etching silicone keypads are often used in instrumentation,industrial machinery,mdical equipment,military etc.
However, many customers are not familiar with process considerations and not every silicone provider has a independent technical team to testing,result in many products are deliveried to customers without professional testing. In below,Simcone technology explain how we inspect the laser etched keypads from a professional point of view.
1, Etching too deep,the necessory layer be etched.
2, Etching inadequate, the etched coating is not removed clean.
3, Etching wrong word.
4, The key is missing etched.
5, Characters are not clear and have shadow.
6, Compared with the golden sample, font thickness inconsistencies, characters distortion or lack of etching.
7, Pattern’s horizontal line is not in a standard angle.
8, Laser engraving position asymmetry, or with the sample contrast, obviously biased towards the side.
9, The use of light boxes to check, light intensity is between 600 ~ 800LUX, outside of etched area is leaked.
